The new design for the 2023 coin shows a kangaroo looking over its shoulder against a background that includes eucalyptus and grass trees. But that’s not where the design ends. Thanks to the Reverse Gilding treatment, the fields on BOTH sides of the coin have been selectively plated in gleaming 24-karat gold.
