The reverse of the coin presents The Buddha sitting in meditation under the Bodhi tree, his legs are crossed in the lotus position, symbolizing peace, serenity, and enlightenment. He remained in this position for seven days and nights, finally achieving enlightenment and becoming the awakened one, the Buddha. This moment is known as the moment of his enlightenment, when he transcended suffering and gained ultimate wisdom and compassion for all beings. On the obverse we still see the silhouette of the Buddha, the sacred Bodhi tree and the Sutra in Sanskrit on all obverse, along with the inscriptions: "REPUBLIQUE GABONAISE" - the country of issue, "2000 FRANCS CFA" - the face value, "2025" - the year of issue and "2OZ AG999" - the weight and fineness of the metal.
